How I do it
Work Philosophy
Ethics
I work for people, and I design to make their lives better. Be prepared to have some uncomfortable conversations.
There is an ethical component to what we do. But maybe even more importantly, in everything we decide not to. In these times when we are asked to move fast and break things, I’m the one who quietly raises her hand and asks why. I believe that designers have the power and the responsibility to say no when external requirements stand in the way of people’s wellbeing.
Empathy
I design to make sure people feel represented. In a world where we can be anything, I chose to be empathetic.
I try to be as mindful as I can with everyone in my ecosystem: designers, business people, operations teams, clients, but ultimately, and most importantly, people. When a meeting room’s door closes, I know I’m the last resort for people to make their voices heard. I strive to protect my users, and you should too. In the end, we are all users of somebody else's.
Main Skills
Product Strategy
I’m focused on the strategic side of digital products. I really enjoy jumping into the void and connecting the dots. I love analyzing complex systems to design products that are both good for businesses and even better for their real users.
Service Design
I like to think of myself as a link between people, services, and spaces. Having a multidisciplinary background helps me analyze insights and come up with strong visions that are both insightful for people and consistent across different touchpoints.
User Research
I pray over research, as it’s crucial to understand how to align user needs with business goals. I analyze the findings to gather insights that will be relevant for people. I sketch tangible solutions and validate the assumptions to create meaningful outputs.
Mentorship
I love taking care of people and helping them reach their full potential. From mentoring a junior designer that is eager to find their place in the world, to leading a diverse team to achieve the best possible outcomes through collaboration.
