This is Ana (kind of)
I’m a designer with more than 13 years of experience, mostly focused on the strategic side of design. I embrace uncertainty and approach projects with curiosity to find innovative and inclusive ways to meet latent needs. Having a cross-disciplinary background allows me to see things from a different perspective and achieve deeper insights. I’m devoted to advancing design practice in an ethical manner.
I studied Communication Sciences, which is a fancy way of saying "Journalism" and "Advertising & Public Relations". After completing a Master’s Degree in Art Direction, I worked for different agencies in London, New York, and Madrid. After a few years, I decided to take a leap in my career and focus on design.
I joined Fjord in 2015. I’ve been designing solutions for industries like education, telco, energy, health, aeronautics, insurance, financial services or the public sector. Since then, I’ve tackled a variety of projects, working as a specialist on complex plans across countries or leading teams through different challenges.
I’m passionate about working remotely & coffee.
We can talk about…
✈️ Traveling far and wide
I love packing light and exploring the planet we inhabit. I really enjoy learning languages to immerse myself in new cultures and traditions. I seriously believe that taking the time to discover the world is the most rewarding present you can give yourself.
📖 Hoarding books
I don’t have a limit on how many beautiful books I can accumulate at home. When I come across one that catches my eye, I forget about budgets and space on shelves. I also enjoy reading a dozen non-fiction books, a novel, and the occasional graphic novel all at once.
💡 Self-learning eve-ry-thing
I jump from hobby to hobby every now and then, because I usually find the process of learning about something more interesting than actually doing it forever. Like playing the piano, drawing, learning languages, caring for indoor plants, or doing calligraphy.
🧘♀️ Practicing yoga
I started doing yoga a few years ago, but we have had an on-and-off relationship. But I knew this was my forever sport when I relied on it during the pandemic and it kept me physically and mentally sane. I’m not as consistent as I used to be, so let’s encourage each other!
🍕 Eating pizza
I’ve been devouring pizza for more than 30 years. I really enjoy discussing the right consistency of dough or the best ingredients for a perfect pizza. I would argue that San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, basil, and gorgonzola cheese make the perfect combo.
